Want to know what one of the most hushed up secrets of the 20th century was? Watch this!

Excellent movie that exposes cover up of murder of over ten thousand Polish officers, and exposes the real culprits.

An excellent film and a good, dramatic portrayal wound around the actual history behind it. Though the story may be a bit contrived and even disturbing, the essence of the history behind it is based on facts. Wonderfully done, very engaging, and the dark, stark cinematography adds to the mood of the film. Wonderfully done.

It's an intriguing story and despite it not being developed as well as it could be it was worth watching.

Those who have power will try to hide the truth for a political gain. The truth will always surface. This movie is about the biggest cover up of murder of Polish POW by Soviets during WWII. Beautiful and full of tension. Very sad but worth watching every minute of it!

A handsome and smart film. Beautifully filmed. Well acted. Reminded me of; "if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it." (Joseph Goebbels). One of the best films I have seen - and will remember.

Being of Polish, and very likely Jewish descent, on my father's side I can naturally empathize with the Polish people. Their nation unfortunately lays on the pathway between Eastern and Western Europe and was coveted by both the Nazis and Soviets prior to WWII. The fact that Briton went to war with Germany over Hitler's invasion of Poland, virtually ignoring Stalin's complicity, then betrayed the Poles, with American complicity, in the Katyn massacre affair by ignoring Stalin's guilt once again after the war is as remarkable as it is deplorable. Laboda, a Russian, was a real personage who was killed near Bristol in 1947, listed as a suicide in the UK. Though the film is apparently largely fictional, it is still interesting, entertaining and enlightening concerning the massacre and subsequent cover-up by the Americans and British to placate Stalin, who grabbed much of Eastern Europe after the war. to avoid continuing the war against the aggressive Soviets. The result was the Cold War lasting another 44 years until the Berlin Wall was torn down in 1989. Once again this same general area in Central Europe has become a flash point for another European conflict and world leaders are once again stirring up a hornets nest there.

The last eye-witness's struggle, and a journalists attempt, to make known the circumstances surrounding the massacre in the Katyn Forest of over 20,000 Polish patriots, most of whom were members of the Polish military, and the ultimate suppression of the that disclosure of the horrific events. The film provides insight into the reasons the horrific murders were suppressed and by whom -- which might come as a surprise.
