Darwin and God go hand in hand, in the eyes and hands of God in this one (the film that is). Absolutely existential, but the essence of truth. Live life like a haiku, short, sweet and to the point. Kind of like what I just said. You get it.

It's not deep. It's about a man, and his monkey, and a giant lizard, and a flying wolf. They eat people, destroy helicopters, and, well, rampage. But it's got a solid cast with the Rock, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Joe Manganiello all giving fun performances. The movie knows it's not Shakespeare, and doesn't try to be. It only tries to be fun. And it succeeds.

This is the very embodiment of a popcorn movie. Check your suspension of disbelief at the door and just enjoy The Rock fighting a 100 foot long crocodile and a flying giant wolf with his ally a mini-king kong because they've been genetically altered with a virus grown in space. No, really, it's just good old fashioned mindless fun. Rock even manages to get shot "missed my vital organs" and goes on to save the planet. It's freaking awesome! Kinda like my books. ;) Check them out for some more fun.
